6gb Ripjaws PC3-12800... G.Skill's hidden features

I am able to successfully use two of these kits together on a Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 motherboard and Core i7 965 CPU. However, there are a couple of things about this RAM which weren't mentioned in MemoryC's description... but you can't blame them for this because G.Skill never mention it on the product page on their own site either. Firstly, this kit is fully compatible with the Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7, as has already been stated, but far more importantly is that the 8-8-8-24-2N timings it offers are in fact an XMP profile. You will need to enable the profile to access these timings. That said, G.Skill are always quite conservative in their RAM ratings, so not only could you run 12gb of this RAM at 8-8-8-24 without enabling XMP, you could probably run it at even tighter timings if using a single 6gb kit. This RAM is great value as always from G.Skill, and i have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.
